University Police Department

The University Police Department Serves all of San José State University  24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides services to ensure the safety of the university, its employees and students.

Academic Services is a retention unit composed of the Student Resource Center and a comprehensive set of student assistance programs (i.e. ASPIRE, Educational Opportunity Program, Summer Bridge Program, Upward Bound, and Student Resource Center) designed to facilitate successful student persistence through the completion of the baccalaureate degree.

Learning Assistance Resource Center

The Learning Assistance Resource Center is designed to assist students in the development of their full academic potential and to motivate them to become self-directed learners. The center provides support services, such as skills assessment, individual or group tutorials, subject advising, learning assistance, summer academic preparation and basic skills development.

The prevention education program acts as a resource center at San Jose State University for education, resource materials, information, and referral assistance concerning alcohol and other drug abuse.
