WorkshopsWorkshops provided by the staff at Counseling Services are available FREE to students, faculty, and staff of San José State University . Each semester we offer a number of workshops on various topics. The workshops are held at Counseling Services and at various locations across the campus. If you are interested in attending a workshop, please review the list below and give us a call to sign up and express your interest. Spring 2009 Workshops First in My Family to Go to College: Now What? So you are the first in your family to go to college but now you need some help adjusting to the new environment. Come to our workshop and learn about: 1.) SJSU resources that can help you be successful, 2.) scholarships and financial aid, 3.) how to balance your family and social life with academics and much more… Every Other Monday, 3-4PM. Clark 118 Facilitators: Veronica Mendoza and Jovina Navarro. Re-entry Brown Bag Lunches A social hour for re-entry students to discuss the challenges of returning to higher education. Students will discover new skills to succeed at SJSU. Facilitator: Jane Boyd. 2nd Wednesdays of each month, noon-1pm, Admin 269.
